"Mild-mannered computer consultant Norman Neale has two great loves in this cruel world: Comic books and his office's effervescent main receptionist, Andrea Hicks. Norman spends his days dreaming of Andrea from the isolation of his cubicle and his nights dreaming of fighting crime from the solitude of his apartment. Then one fateful day Norman discovers that a fellow co-worker, Victor Ventura, a swaggering, pretty-boy salesman, has slight telekinetic abilities beyond his understanding. After discussing his mind-blowing discovery with his only friend Chuck, a know-it-all comic book store owner, Norman comes to the outlandish conclusion that he should train Victor to become a real-life superhero by helping him refine and expand his extraordinary ability."” <91mn>

1. Synopsis taken from .~2. This film toured across Canada (8 cities) as part of Telefilm's Alternative Distribution Fund, which sponsored Moving Pictures: Canadian Films on Tour. (see note 4)~3. SIDEKICK won the Cineplex Odeon's People's Pick for Best Flick award at the 2006 Canadian Filmmakers Festival opening gala.~4. Moving Pictures: Canadian Films on Tour sponsored the tour and is in turn sponsored partially by Telefilm, Canada Council for the Arts, BC Film, BC ARts Council, DGC and the NFB. Moving Pictures was established in 1993 as a BC based non-profit society to increase awares of Canadian filmmakings by facilitating festival exhibition and film presentations.
