The film opens with a marquée of Bill Graham's Fillmore East starring Janis Joplin, Grateful Dead, The Joshus Light Show, and Jeff Beck. Bill Graham is shown arguing with someone off screen and then in his office speaking on the phone. Mike Wallace interviews Bill Graham about the music business and the young artists he manages. Nat Hentoff is interviewed on the young musicians of the day and how they escape through their music where society can't get to them. Shots of Janis Joplin, described by Mike Wallace as "The current rock empress." When Mike Wallace asks Janis Joplin, "What is acid rock?" Joplin responds, "I don't know, 'cause I'm a juicer." <16mn 30s>Language:EnglishNotes:Detailed holdings information: -
