Film about winter sports. Footage includes: long view of an Ottawa winter scene, shot from a high building; the Parliament Buildings with the Ottawa River in the background; office buildings; a church and a factory with a chimney; rooftops covered with snow; weekend skiers, walking towards a train and boarding; the train departing for a ski resort and skiers waving from the train; skiers come down a high take-off tower and ski down slopes; take-off tower with skiers going down the hill like bullets; from the top of the take-off tower showing skiers taking off down the slopes; Melville Rogers, Canadian and American ice skating champion, demonstrating the spiral; Cecile Eustace-Smith, women's champion ice skater, dancing on ice with Rogers; and winter scenes and sports in Eastern Ontario and Quebec. The 1927 catalogue of the Ontario Motion Picture Bureau describes this title as follows: "To those who are not afraid to make his acquaintance, King Winter gives a very hearty greeting in Eastern Canada. A bracing climate and blue skies give zest to winter sports and health to those who take part in them. In the cities of eastern Ontario and Quebec, winter is truly a joyous season."]

1. There is only a Graphics Consultants Limited shotlist card for part 1.~2. According to "The Films of the Ontario Motion Picture Bureau - A Preliminary Catalogue" by Mick Mitchell, July 1993, p. 14, this title was in production as of 14 May 1925, was completed before 31 October 1925 and shown at the Canadian National Exhibition on 3 September 1926.~3. There is also a longer, two-reel version (donor original numbers 4173 and 4174).~4. Crown material over 50 years - copyright expired.
