Rezolution Pictures International Inc : Co-founded by Ernest Webb and Catherine Bainbridge, Rezolution Pictures International is an award-winning Aboriginal-owned film, television and video production company based in Outremount, Québec. Its goal is to bring cultural diversity to Canada's mainstream broadcasting landscape. The company specializes in producing documentary films and documentary television series dealing with social issues and covering subjects as diverse as contemporary Aboriginal culture, environmental protection and gay parenting. The company has forged business relationships with networks such as the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, the National Film Board, Alliance Atlantis Broadcasting (Showcase) and the Aboriginal Peoples' Television Network (APTN). Rezolution projects include: Moose TV, a half-hour situation comedy series; Rez Rides I and II, a lifestyle/reality series showcasing automotive ingenuity and accomplishment in Native communities; Dab Iyiyuu, Seasons I, II and III, a docu-drama series about traditional native elders and ancient legends of the Cree; Mohawk Girls, a feature length cinema verité documentary co-produced with the National Film Board of Canada about teenage Native girls growing up on a Mohawk reserve in Kahnawake, Québec; Heavy Metal: A Mining Disaster in Northern Quebec, a documentary about the environmental devastation caused by toxic mining waste, and its impact on a small Northern community; One More River: The Deal that Split the Cree, a two-part documentary about the controversial 2002 agreement between the Quebec government and the James Bay Cree to approve a hydro-electric dam; Cree Spoken Here, a documentary about the near death and miraculous re-birth of the Cree language over three generations in Northern Quebec; Heroes & Monsters, an animated adventure series inspired by ancient Cree legends; Meh-Khojo, a feature-length, historical drama depicting legendary Cree hunter Meh-Khojo and his quest to establish peace between the Eeyouch and the invading Norse warriors; The Last Trombone Player, a feature-length, musical, coming-of-age story set in Montreal's Little Italy; Mommy! Mommy!, a documentary that follows a homosexual couple from Quebec on their journey to becoming adoptive parents; In Search of the African Queen: A People Smuggling Operation, a documentary tracing the perilous journey of young Tamil refugees making their way into Canada, while uncovering the a story of global refugees and human trafficking; Indian Posse: Life in Aboriginal Gang Territory, a documentary about the everyday lives of three gang families in Winnipeg's North End; The Dead are Alive: Eyewitness in Rwanda, a documentary about the Rwandan genocide based on the diary of Belgian journalist Els De Temmerman; Waiting for a Miracle, a documentary examination of the Velvet Revolution in the Czech Republic, and its transformation from communism to capitalism as seen through the eyes of six women; Power of the North, a political "rockumentary" film portraying the struggle of the James Bay Cree against the hydro-electric development of Canada's northern rivers, featuring the music of heavy metal band Metallica; and Okanada, a film documenting the last three weeks of the aboriginal uprising during the Oka crisis.
