Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions Canada. Office of the Chief Actuary : In 1987, the Government of Canada created the Office of the Chief Actuary (OCA) to serve as an independent unit within the organizational structure of OSFI. In this context, it "provides actuarial valuation and advisory services to the Government of Canada." In this role the OCA provides actuarial services for the insurance and pension plans of the entire federal public service, including members of Parliament, judges, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and the armed forces.
