DA VINCI'S INQUEST is a one hour dramatic production combining three genres: the police procedural, the medical thriller and the courtroom drama. The show centers around the cases dealt with by the Vancouver Coroner's Office and its senior coroner Dominic Da Vinci. In this episode we see the conclusion of the case of the suspected serial murderer Larry Williams. The investigative team digs further back into Vancouver's “bad trick” list to try and find any clue as to a previous problem with a prostitute. Detective Marlow is still following Williams, and interrupts Williams when he violates the terms of his patrol by trying to fulfill his bondage fantasy with an escort. Da Vinci convinces his superior that his department should support the police efforts to link their suspect to the over 30 missing prostitutes by collecting DNA evidence from the missing women's families in the hopes that they can match it with evidence found in the back of William's truck. A skeleton is found in the wilderness near the city, and the police are concerned it may be the body of one of the missing prostitutes. Williams is released again on bail. His wife is on edge and concerned for her safety. She sees a spread of photos of the missing prostitutes in the paper and recognizes a gift her husband gave her around the neck of one of the women. The site of the body in the wilderness leads the police to uncover several buried bodies, and the police are trying to link the bodies of both the missing prostitutes to Williams. The police bring Williams in again and his wife gives the necklace over to the police in the hopes that it will end the investigation. After the police reveal that Williams' wife is no longer on his side, Williams caves and reveals to the officers the identities of the bodies of the 5 women they have found. <45mn 20s>
