Item is an animated video featuring portraits of fictitious people and their thoughts about loss and hanging on, by Lucie Chan. She animates her portrait drawings to explore ideas of memory and recollection. The artist uses drawings to remind herself of people and situations that have marked her own life. These illustrate the fleeting thoughts of people reflecting on loss and lived experiences.
