Description:

At fifteen Oliver Cates has created a computer which transports historical figures from any time period to the present day, but only for 36 hours. After their short visit they return to the exact moment they left without a trace of memory of their adventures in the present day. Dee is having trouble at school because of the financial problems with her parents business. Dee summons basketball's inventor, Canadian Dr. James Naismith, for some tips on how to play the game when her "win at all costs" coach pressures her to bend the rules. Her coach pressures her to buy expensive new shoes for an important game with a scout present. Naismith shows the conflicted Dee that sportsmanship and personal character are the stuff of hoop dreams, and walks out on the over-bearing coach. <23mn>
