One of a group of original cartoon drawings executed for Laurentian Publishing Ltd. publications "Northern Life" and "Northern Ontario Business," ca. 1980-1987. Some were likely produced for the "Sudbury Star." This cartoon depicts 1983 New Year Baby, as a being eager to karate-chop the 1982 Recession. 1982 (Recession) is personified as an old man.
