One of a group of original cartoon drawings executed for Laurentian Publishing Ltd. publications "Northern Life" and "Northern Ontario Business," ca. 1980-1987. Some were likely produced for the "Sudbury Star." This cartoon depicts a radiant Margaret Thatcher on horseback jumping and clearing a hurdle and water hazard, over the head of a ducking Prime Minister Callaghan, who stands grimacing in the water, holding a riding whip. A sign on the hurdle labels it 'unions, unemployment, inflation, foreign affairs and fiscal.
