POWER PLAY revolves around a fictional NHL franchise - the Hamilton Steelheads. A transplanted Canadian, Brett Parker (the main character), returns to his hometown in the hopes of moving the team to Houston. Instead he ends up as the team's new General Manager. In this second season Parker has been forced to resign from his position and his trying to regain control of the Steelheads. In this final episode of the second season Brett's cut-throat decisions take a greater and greater toll on his personal life. He has Rose fired from the Hamilton Spectator when she attempts to print the story of Duff's disappearance. Renata refuses to speak to him and Colleen leaves him, while his daughter also decides she has had enough of his selfish behavior. Duff returns in time to convince Al Tremblay to come out of retirement to fill in for the injured goalie. The Steelheads win the cup. Colleen asks Duff for a new position in his company. The ghost of Brett's father visits him after the game to reconcile. <46mn 5s>
