POWER PLAY revolves around a fictional NHL franchise - the Hamilton Steelheads. A transplanted Canadian, Brett Parker (the main character), returns to his hometown in the hopes of moving the team to Houston. Instead he ends up as the team's new General Manager. In this second season Parker has been forced to resign from his position and is trying to regain control of the Steelheads. In this episode Brett continues to push for his return into the fold of the Steelheads. He breaks into Coach Harry Strand's office to rattle his state of mind, as the coach and Sexsmith bring regional representation to the make-up of the team and jeopardize their shot at the Stanley Cup. Duff wants to enlist the help of Brett and bring him back into the team. Michelle is having marital troubles, but Brett is too wrapped up in his own business to connect with his daughter. Strand is slowly losing grip on reality, and Brent uses Strand's indiscretion with Sexsmith to put control of the Steelheads back in Duff's hands and himself back in the organization. <46mn 5s>
