Collection contains a portfolio entitled "Our Great Ones", which includes 12 linocuts created by artist and cartoonist Jack McLaren with text by Merrill Dennison. The portfolio was published by Ryerson Press in 1932; this copy is number 279 of 450. The linocuts are caricature portraits of the following Canadian figures : Sir Wilfrid Laurier, George Brown, Sir John A. Macdonald, John Strachan, Rev. Egerton Ryerson, Sir Donald Smith, Sir John Richard Cartwright, Thomas D'Arcy McGee, Colonel Thomas Talbot, Sir George Étienne Cartier, Sir Charles Tupper and Joseph Howe.

Collection also includes a colour lithograph by McLaren. It is the portrait of a military officer, possibly an army surgeon named Dr. McCullough.

Custodial history:

The colour lithograph of an army surgeon was possibly done for a Dr. McCullough and offered to him by the Dumbells as a gift of appreciation sometime in the 1920s. According to the donors, Dr. McCullough's daughter's stepchildren, the doctor would have done some work for the comedy troupe. The type of work done is unfortunately unknown.
