The records in this sub-series document Bob Gordon's activities in the Canadian Historical Association (CHA). Gordon served as the pro tem chairman of the Archives Section of the CHA (1976-1977), Secretary of the CHA's Archives Committee (1979-1980), and was Treasurer of the CHA for more than twenty years (1956-1979). This series is comprised of two blocks of material. One block of records pertains to the operations and activities of the Archives Section of the CHA and documents Gordon's activities in that section. The other block of records contains records which Gordon used, acquired and created in his role as Treasurer of the CHA. Included in this group are records related to travel grants which the CHA gave to its members. Also found in this series is correspondence of earlier CHA treasurer's dating as far back as the late 1920s. The series also contains a small amount of correspondence pertaining to the National Archival Appraisal Board and to the Association of Canadian Archivists. Includes correspondence (drafts, copies and originals), greeting cards, terms of reference, memoranda, notes, invoices, minutes, surveys, reports, and notes.
