Series consists of files on the CIM while Tarassoff was its president 1990-1991 including minutes, reports, committees etc. Of special concern to Tarassoff were task forces on education/careers, the CIM financial crisis and an environment policy statement for the mining industry. Also includes Tarassoff's speeches to numerous CIM districts, branches and special interest sections and to national and international associations/congresses. Tarassoff was the chairman of the CIM History Editorial Board and the liaison between it and Tina Crossfield, the author of "Pride and Vision: The CIM, 1898-1998" (1998). Also material on the CIM's centennial celebration in Montreal.
