Peter Tarassoff's files on the Noranda Research Centre (NR) in Pointe Claire QC. There are files on some of the senior NR executives, including W.H. Gauvin, its first director; the Noranda Research Committee/Noranda Research and Technology Review Board and Research & Development planning. Material on NR research projects, activities and achievements. Tarassoff's files as Noranda's Vice-President and Chief Scientist.

Files on Tarassoff's presidency of the Canadian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy(CIM) 1990-91 plus other files on his role in the CIM, including the Task Force on CIM History which produced the CIM centenary history. Tarassoff was also chairman of Canadian Research Management Association and of the National Advisory Council to the Canadian Centre for Minerals and Energy Technology (CANMET). For these two organizations there are chairman's correspondence, minutes of council meetings, papers and reports. Also included are the typed memoirs of his father, Peter Anton Tarassoff.
