The series consists of records created and accumulated by Yalden during his two terms as a member of the United Nations Human Rights Committee and after his retirement. The records are arranged by subject and in chronological order within.

The series contains records pertaining to Yalden's election as member of the United Nations Human Rights Committee,1996-2000; correspondence with government officials and acquaintances, 1995-2005; letters to the editors and correspondence with journalists at the National Post, The Ottawa Citizen and the Globe and Mail relating to Yalden's response to various articles in which he provides his comments, criticism and additional information, 1997-2006; speech files,1997-2005; comments on the Human Rights Committee sessions on internal matters, individual complaints and the review of state reports, 1996-2004; reports prepared for the Correctional Services Canada by a Working Group on Human Rights headed by Yalden,1977-2001; an essay on "Canada And The Treaty and Bodies", 2005; and an interview by a student for thesis research, 2003.
