Part 2 of 2. Before Trudeaumania, there was Pierre Elliott, a young radical thinker who sought to challenge the embedded consciousness of Quebec's ruling elite. Believing whole-heartedly in the seperation of Church and State, he embraced democratic ideals and believed in the necessity of change. In Part 2, Trudeau seeks to openly challenge the structure of politics in Quebec. Like a pendulum, the death of Duplessis signalled Trudeau's rise to the political forefront, and Pierre Elliott ran as a liberal in the Federal Government. First Minister of Justice, and eventually Prime Minister of Canada, true to form, Pierre Elliott became one of the most popular if controversial, Prime Ministers of all time. <89mn 44s>
