The welfare of children and youth has long been a focus of June Callwood's social activism. This sub-series comprises records which document her work on behalf of organizations and institutions devoted to children and youth, including the Oolagen Hostel and Shelter (1968-1972), the Learnx Foundation (1973-1982), Justice for Children (1976-1987), Children's Oncology Care of Ontario and "Ronald MacDonald House" (1979-1982), and the Alliance of Provincial Voluntary Agencies involved in Services to Children in Ontario, later known as the Alliance for Children (1972-1976). The files for Justice for Children, for example, hold newsletters, minutes, clippings, a brief relating to the issue of medical consent for minors, a brief and detailed legal analysis in response to the Young Offenders' Bill, a legal handbook for minors, and documentation of a lawsuit on behalf of a ward of the Crown in Ontario.

Records of Jessie's Centre for Teenagers, Digger House, and the Campaigan Against Child Poverty, are described in more detail at the sub-sub-series level.
