This series comprises records of June Callwood's participation in Margaret Frazer's team of caregivers and her writing of "Twelve Weeks in Spring" about Margaret's death. It holds a partial manuscript with annotations, notebooks with information about the individual caregivers, daily log books chronicling the last 12 weeks of Margaret's life and the care she received, schedules and reports of the "Friends of Margaret", and records relating to the memorial service and benefit concert held in her memory. Correspondence relating to the book includes letters from Louise Dennys, Jane Lind, Anna Cameron, Doreen Uren Simmons, Mendelson Joe, Jesse Frayne (Callwood's daughter), Michelle Stirling (along with a script of her play), Peter Bronfman, Richard Patten, and Ruth Gordon, as well as letters from friends of Margaret Frazer and readers who tell how the story touched them. There are also clippings of reviews and articles. In addition, the sub-series holds sound recordings of presentations by June Callwood and physician Linda Rapson in which they describe their experiences in caring for Margaret Frazer and its implications for palliative care, and a CBC radio interview of June Callwood discussing her book "Twelve Weeks in Spring" and the care-giving team known as the "Friends of Margaret".

The personal papers of Margaret Frazer that were acquired by June Callwood as source material for the book after Margaret's death are more fully described at the sub-sub-series level.
