This sub-series comprises material relating to June Callwood's articles on emotions which appeared originally in "Maclean's Magazine"; their publication in book form as "Love, Hate, Fear, Anger, and the other Lively Emotions" (1964); an article for "Reader's Digest" (1974); and the publication of the revised version titled "Emotions" in 1986. The sub-series holds manuscript drafts of the articles with corrections and comments; a typed manuscript of the book with annotations; typed research notes and quotations on the different emotions; and correspondence concerning editing, publishing, speaking engagements, and reader response. Her correspondents include her agent Max Wilkinson; Maclean's editor Ralph Allen; McCall's editor Peter Wyden; Ferris Mack, Ken McCormick, and George Nelson of Doubleday publishing; author Blodwen Davies; and sociologist Read Bain. For the revised version of the book, the sub-series holds notes, bibliographic sources, clippings, reviews, a setting copy and reader's pages.
