Physical description note:

In shape of maple leaf, with attached to it a circular enamel screw-back badge, which passes through the brooch; on the reverse, the screw-back attachment and two brooch fasteners, from the lower one of which hangs a green ribbon. Near top of brooch is an attached circular enamel and gilt badge, with the legend: Canadian union of Public Employees. In Centre of gadge are two hands joined in a handshake, with amaple leaf emerging from them; with red, white, blue and pink enamel, with gilt.
