On the obverse of this medal, a kneeling male figure in uniform, backpack, etc. holds a rifle level to his eyes with a hill in the distance and grass beneath his feet; encircling is an open wreath of maple leaves with at the top a beaver.

On the reverse, there is some ornamentation including a scroll with wording (not recorded here). The edge is blank.
