Physical description note:

This medal is in a case with LOMBARDO MINT on the top cover; inside cover has an heraldic coat of arms with supporters and the words: LOMBARDO / CANADIAN ARTIST DIES INC. / LABOR., Obverse: bust of J. Douglas Ferguson in suit, tie and glasses, nearly full-faced, turned slightly to right., Reverse: a kneeling female figure draped in a cloak (?) holds aloft a branch of maple leaves; on the left are two putti with a scythe and wheat, while on the right is a putto holding a torch and carrying a closed laurel (?) wreath with at his feet an open book and an oak leaf (?); on the left near her foot are the words: A. MARCHETTI.
