Album contains images of surveying activities in Alaska including camp life, local residents encountered during surveying activities, photographs of maps of the 1904-5 surveying season, Salmon River glacier and triangulation equipment.

Also includes a photograph of Lord and Lady Minto's curling party, a group photo of the Canada-Alaska Boundary survey staff (1906), and a group photograph of members of the International Boundary Commission 1893-95. Also contains a series of images on a zinc smelter at Frank, Alberta, and coke ovens at Lille, Alberta.

Physical description note:

Album cover - the binding is separating; there is a map taped to the inside cover that has detached the inside cover page from the cover itself

Album pages - musty smell; some of the pages are torn/creased - they are generally deteriorated overall; the tape on the map should be removed; the white ink used to caption the images is fading

Prints - some of the prints are lifting, many of the prints are silvering, faded and heavily stained, some curling
