This series documents Thomas Van Dusen's career in both local politics (Aylmer, Québec) and federal politics as Executive Assistant to the Minister of Labour (1957-1962), to the Leader of the Official Opposition (1963-1967) and as advisor and speech writer for various Cabinet Ministers. It includes campaign itineraries, briefing notes, opinion pieces, speeches, and also documents Van Dusen's involvement as special advisor to the Speaker on broadcasting Parliament (1957-1980). The series also contains working papers on constitutional and security issues; photographs of Van Dusen; and a political cartoon of Michael Starr.
