Out-takes of the Canadian Arctic Expedition of August 1929. Scenes include: fjords and landscape of Cape Sparbo, Devon Island; Nookapiungwah, Inuk interpreter and guide leads the way through the mist with dog; expedition members with riffles; dogs circling two musk-oxen positioned back to back for defence; musk-ox charges a dog; Dr. R. Anderson using still camera, with expedition members; group of musk-oxen charged by dogs; S.S. Beothic? in the background; close-up of an old musk-ox; small herd of musk-oxen in defence position; "some of the early explorers took heavy toll of these remarkable animals and in order that the species might not be wiped out the government prohibited the killing of them under all circumstances and at all times of year; expedition members shooting rifles in the air to create a stampede; and herd of musk-oxen stampeding in the opposite direction. <8mn 13s>
