Description:

Memory is a key to keen intellegence. Early exposure to music, to languages and to pleasurable experience increases the power to learn. Chess is seen to help young children improve their math skills in the province of Quebec. Musicians have a better chance of avoiding dementia. The nature versus nurture debate is still relevant, though more complex than most suspect. Sperm banks like Hereditary Choice offer women donors "smart sperm" and genetic enhancement is a concept that is becoming a popular topic of debate. This documentary reports that twins are important to genetic studies of intelligence, both crystalized and fluid intelligence and that the amount of grey matter in a brain is exponentially related to intelligence. Pilots are being used to experiment with TMS, which is magnet therapy that is said to help people deal with sleep deprevation. Finally, diet, exercise, challenge, surprise and love are the key factors to maintaining intelligence as we age. <46mn 50s>
