Members of the Davis family at their summer cottages, at St. Elmo in the Muskoka’s. St. Elmo is a place in the Muskoka's where the Davis family had a cottage and where the children put on theatricals. Between 1934 and 1940 the Toronto actress Josephine Barrington would visit the cottage to teach theatre arts to the children including the Davis siblings and some of their cousins. Included in this footage are shots of boaters cruising on lake, several men fishing from the dock, and The Honourable Elihu J. and Mrs. Davis outdoors, posing for the camera. Followed by shots of Mr. and Mrs. Davis with their children including Barbara (age 8), Murray Edward (age 7), Virginia Rosetta (age 4), and Donald George (age 3). The children pose for the camera and play together along the beach. Follows with shots of Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey Davis and their children. Children include Mary Elizabeth (age 8) and Catherine Rosetta (age 7) who pose for the camera, and play on the beach, together and with Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey Davis. Ends with shots of Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey Davis and children on the front porch of their summer cottage. <3mn 33s>
