The Sayisi Dene was a population relocated by the Government to a shanty town named Dene Village. In 2003, the film crew returned to a Sayisi Dene community, where the survivors of Dene Village have made a home. The community has strong ties to the land, but without economic structures in place, it remains dependent on government subsidies. The Sayisi Dene attempt to bridge the gap between traditional culture and the modern, but the horrors of Dene Village still haunt those who experienced them. <48mn 38s>Language:EnglishNotes:Detailed holdings information: -
