Charles Nolin was a Métis farmer, fur trader, and politician. He was born in 1837 in St Boniface (Man.) the son of Augustin Nolin and Hélène-Anne Cameron. He married twice, first to Marie-Anne Harrison (d. 1877) and secondly, to Rosalie Lépine, the widow of Godefroi Lagimodière. From these two marriages Nolin had at least eleven children and he adopted two sons. He died January, 28, 1907 at Outarde (Goose) Lake, near Battleford Sask.
