Description:

A documentary film exploring the destruction of one of the older and less urbanized sections of Whitehorse and an elegiac journey through the mythic landscape of Western Canada that charts a personal response to a rapidly changing frontier community. The film is a lament for a disappearing culture, for dreamers, artists, First Nations People and rugged individualists that once kept the frontier character alive. Finally it is about a filmmaker’s search for answers in the death of Shipyards resident John Hatch, the larger than life, popular but eccentric Yukon photographer who tried to negotiate fair deal for his home of twenty-five years but found himself caught in bureaucratic and cultural limbo. <40mn 20s>
