Film footage was taken in Dawson, Yukon in the spring of 1934. Included are shots of the break-up of ice in the Yukon River at Dawson, when the ice was thicker than it had been since 1917; the break-up of ice being thrown toward the Dawson area; caribou caught in the break-up and moving down river with the ice; caribou migrating along the 60 mile district; ice in the river; a flag frozen in the ice and used to time the ice going out of Dawson; looking out from the dock at Dawson; and Mr. Edwards, man in charge of the ice break up in Dawson.Language:SilentNotes:Detailed holdings information: -
