Black and white film footage taken by Harry Lewis, employee of the Yukon Consolidated Gold Corporation (YCGC), a gold mining company. Film footage was taken between 1931 and 1933, predominantly of mining claims on Lovett Gulch and Jackson Gulch in the Klondike Valley near Dawson. Footage begins with images of Harry Lewis walking in the hills of Dawson; Harry McCremin at Lovett Gulch; hydraulic mining; sluice boxes used to pan for gold; an old rocker, one of the first means of extracting gold from the earth; Jackson Gulch on the Klondike and the Klondike Valley between Bear Creek and Dawson; sluice boxes at Jackson Gulch; carrying pipe; walkway across the ravine; White Channel, a land formation at Jackson Gulch; a drill at Gramble; Lovett Gulch; a secretary for the mining operation at Lovett Gulch; a mining operation at Fairbanks, Alaska; Jackson Gulch; prehistoric ice in the Fairbanks area; Warren MacFarland, manager of the Y.C.G.C., and Bob Cathcart, Anglican Minister; a search light used in the gold mines; building a dam to reroute a stream; dredge tailings; inside the control room of a gold dredge; gold amalgam and nuggets; the gold dredge in winter quarters, non-operational in winter; a pond that has been drained to repair the casing on a gold dredge; a dredge at Hunker Creek; a fire at Bear Creek; and gold dredge Number 4.

Klondike II restoration project.~3. The film, with others, was used in the production of the National Film Board of Canada's short film, entitled IN THE DAYS OF THE RIVERBOATS, available for consultation at the National Library of Canada.
