Film footage taken by Harry Lewis, employee of the Yukon Consolidated Gold Corporation (YCGC), a gold mining company. Film footage spans several years and was taken in the Yukon, near the Lewis' home in Dawson, and at Bear Creek. Included are shots taken between 1931 and 1935 of flowers at St. Mary's Hospital, Dawson; lilacs at Turner Townsend's home; wild anemones, lupins, baby robins and nest built just outside a transom at St. Mary's hospital; the Lewis' backyard, a baby robin, wild lily of the valley taken on the hillside behind Dawson; the Steamer Keno coming in on the first trip of the season in 1936; a hawk moth; the Yukon River; a sunset taken from the dome in Dawson; a gathering storm looking north on the river from the Dawson waterfront; Dr. Rennie taking pictures on the waterfront; fireweed and a cabin at the north end of Dawson owned by Mr. and Mrs. Coldrig, old-timers in the Yukon; Mrs. Coldrig at her back door; lilies grown in the Dawson greenhouses run by Mrs. Butterworth's father-in-law; and outdoor flowers taken at Bear Creek.~Also included are shots taken in 1936 of Hilda Lewis, Mrs. Butterworth, Grace Winerch and Marion Harvey going up on a barn storming flight looking over Dawson, and flying up as far as Bear Creek, up the Klondike Valley; a hill behind Dawson and the shadow of the plane going up the Klondike Valley; tailing piles that the dredge leaves behind as it moves about; Bear Creek, a community approximately 8 miles up the Klondike Valley from the mouth of Dawson; a bridge at Dawson that carried water from the 12 mile for the mining operation in the early days; Grace Winerch, Marion Harvey, Hilda Lewis, and Mrs. Butterworth exiting an aircraft; fall colourings taken around the vicinity of Dawson and Bear Creek and the Klondike Valley; moose in the Klondike Valley; a cabin around the North Fork, Klondike, taken in the spring when the Lewis' travelled to the Klondike Valley; Mrs. Butterworth and Hilda Lewis sawing wood; the North Fork ditch that carried water to the power plant that produced the electricity for Dawson, and digging the silt out of the North Fork ditch; seeing friends off at the Dawson airfield; seeing off Mrs. and Mrs. John Donald; and a plane coming into Dawson airfield.
