Film footage taken by Harry Lewis, employee of the Yukon Consolidated Gold Corporation (YCGC), a gold mining company. Film footage taken at Dawson and Bear Creek, a community approximately 8 miles up the Klondike Valley from the mouth of Dawson, and home to the Lewis' beginning in 1937. Included are shots of Hilda Lewis gardening; burning scrub to clean up the land; flowers at the front edge of the Lewis' property; melulous and snapdragons; a picnic; Mrs. and Mrs. Glossley, a Norwegian couple, and Peter Chapel; Harry Lewis taking a picture of himself in the hub cap of the car; a blueberry picking expedition up Hunker and beyond the Hunker Summit with Peter Chapel and nurse Doris Fishlager in a red sweater who thereafter married Jim Moyer and moved to Vancouver; Harry Lewis behind the Lewis' home in Bear Creek; a slab of wood; the Klondike; shots of Dr. and Mrs. Reny, Mrs. and Mrs. Chapel with their children, Peter and Judith, and Mr. and Mrs. Coldrig taken in the fall of 1939; an eagle with a broken wing at the hospital grounds in Dawson; Peter Chapel and Hilda Lewis; the building of a dredge; a picnic with the Lewis family and the children's tutor; a Northern Gross Beak and ducks at Bear Creek; a cable ferry that ran across the Klondike River at North Fork; Mrs. Glossley in a yellow shirt; a mother goose and her baby at North Fork; moose calves and their mother; Hazel and Chris Glossley; a grouse at the dome behind Dawson; the Discovery Day Parade celebrated on the 17th of August, getting organized on the grounds of the Administration Building, Pioneer Lodge parading, a float with children dressed in gold costumes passing by pioneer hall, the post office, and the doctor's office on Fifth Avenue; and Mr. Glossley and Harry Lewis on skis in Klondike Valley.

Klondike II restoration project.~3. The film, with others, was used in the production of the National Film Board of Canada's short film, entitled IN THE DAYS OF THE RIVERBOATS, available for consultation at the National Library of Canada.
