Recording includes an oral history interview with Edmonton elder Anne Anderson who speaks of her birth, her siblings, her ancestry, her mother's illiteracy, her mother's life experiences, her father's life experiences, stories of her great grandmother, Native traditions, Mother Earth, discrimination in St. Albert, Alberta, importance of one's language, the Cree language, the role of Native women, and the death of her father.~Interview follows with an in-class recording of Anderson teaching the Cree language.
