The Luftwaffe goes into action; fighters and bombers wreck havoc on defenceless Polish towns. A terrible specatcle of a nation being destroyed unfolds as we see the SCHLESWIG-HOLSTEIN bombarding a tiny Polish garrison which stands up remarkably well against the furious onslaught.
