The series consists of correspondence, contracts, royalty statements, book reviews, and author copies for several of Lubor J. Zink's books. The most documentation is preserved for his English language novel "The Uprooted" (1962); the compilation of his award-winning editorials from the "Brandon Sun" titled "Under the Mushroom Cloud" (1962); and the compilation of his "Toronto Sun" columns titled "Viva Chairman Pierre" (1977). Correspondence with publishing house Longmans traces "The Uprooted" from the initial evaluation of the manuscript and response by Chief Editor Helen O'Reilly, through to the editorial process, publicity, and public reaction in the form of book reviews and letters from readers. The latter includes notes from John G. Diefenbaker and Lester B. Pearson. For "Viva Chairman Pierre", the series includes the publishing contract and editorial correspondence with Griffin House, an edited draft of the manuscript, and files of publicity, reaction, book reviews and fan mail. The series also holds the 1993 Czech reprint of his 1949 novel "Unor" ("February" in English) and a draft of manuscript of an unfinished and untitled political novel, written in English.
