Some townsite plans are annotated to show land ownership transactions. Townsites include: Celista, Donald, Field, Golden, Hope, Illecilleweat, Lytton, Revelstoke, Trout Lake, and Woodhaven.

All townsites are located along railroad belt in interior of British Columbia.

Custodial history:

Maps were found within a collection of unaccessioned Dept. of Interior records. Transferred from Government Archives Division, RG15 (no accession) in June 1990.

Maps originally created between 1885 and 1917 but some annotations regarding land ownership transactions added in 1932.
