Hosted by Jan Rubes, this television program features musical performances of Maurice Ravel's "Boléro" and Edvard Grieg's "Concerto in A for piano, opus 16." Swiss conductor Charles Dutoit leads the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal in this rendering of Ravel's "Boléro." Aesthetic visual effects are created through: panoramic shots of the orchestra; views of various instrumental sections; close-ups of individual musicians and musical instruments being played; sheet music viewed from behind orchestra members; and superimposed images of musicians and the conductor. The second half of the program opens with a shot of the piano keyboard inset with a shot of pianist Yuval Fichman, playing "Concerto in A for piano, opus 16." Footage of various sections of the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal are interspersed with shots of Fichman and Dutoit; and panoramic views of the orchestra are varied with close-ups of piano keys in motion; the conductor's facial expressions; the pianist from different angles; and various instruments being played.
