Description:

Host, John Ford, interviews two member of the Military Association of Canada, Colonel M. Turner and Lieutenant Colonel W. Landry concerning the video FORWARD EDGE, a video commissioned by the Military Association of Canada as a presentation to their centennial of the engineering profession in Canada. The interview follows with a screening of the video which illustrates the background of military work within the engineering community as it pertains to military engineering across Canada. The video depicts the story of modern Canada and Military Engineering in Canada using still photos, drawings, archival footage, maps and archival documents.~Following the video, the interview with Turner and Landry resumes. Discussion focuses on the video FORWARD EDGE, the Military Association of Canada, the role of the Association, and the amalgamation that occurred in 1967. <28mn 48s>
