Shows an orchard near Bloomfield where apples are picked by men and women and then carefully packed for market. Tomatoes are picked by adults and children in a large field, packed into crates and then taken on wagons to a canning plant. Up-to-date methods are used to harvest other crops: a horse-drawn machine bundles corn stalks which are then loaded onto wagons and conveyed to a cutting machine and then stored in a silo. A tractor powers the cutting machine, as well as other farm implements. The county has a permanent road system which gives the farmers ready access to the market at all seasons; a tractor is shown pulling several wagons and farm implements. Finally, beautiful homes are shown as evidence of the region's prosperity. The final intertitle praises the county's inhabitants for their intelligence and industriousness. <5mn 42s>Language:Silent with English intertitlesOriginal number:9521~9522Notes:Detailed holdings information: -
