Guy Johnson to Haldimand. (No.10) Dockstedder has returned after having reduced a rebel blockhouse in Woodcock Valley, Bedford County, Pennsylvania, Capt. Phillips commanding. Indians could not be restrained from killing ten of the rebels. Dockstedder has destroyed the blockhouse, burned seven houses and seven granaries and killed some cattle andhorses. Phillips' commission to raise rangers transmitted; he affects simplicity and greatly prevaricates. Brant advancing against the rebel frontiers. Treachery of the disaffected Indian village sixteen miles from Fort Stanwix; village fort and other buildings burned; Oneidas in camp near Fort Stanwix; about one hundred joined Brant, the rest ran for the fort. The advantage gained by the destruction of the fort at Woodcock Valley.
