Maclean to Haldimand. Transmitting an address from the farmers respecting the precarious titles to their farms. They do not wish to resort to colonial law and cannot repurchase their farms. There is a tract ofland of twelve miles along the lake which the Mississaugas will part with, and they (the farmers) would sooner go to Japan than settle among the Americans, where they could not live in peace.
