General Prescott a prisoner at Albany; Carleton gone to Quebec. McLean defeated Arnold. Lord Dunmore obliged to go on board his ships at Virginia. Rebels sickly. Departure of secret expedition under General Clinton; said to be for Virginia. Quarrel over the appointment of staff officers. The little prospects of his own advancement, &c.
