In 1992 the leaders of the world's nations met at the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED) held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, between June 3 and 14. Their intention was to address the environmental, economic and social challenges facing the international community.~This recording documents the Plenary Session occurring on the eleventh day of the Summit. World leaders given the opportunity to address the Conference include the President of the Republic of Djibouti, President of the Republic of Peru, President of the Central African Republic, President of the Republic of Bolivia, Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Swaziland, President of the Government of the Kingdom of Spain, and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Norway. <1h 54mn 17s>
