Unedited out-takes of the development, construction and testing of the CF-105, the Avro Arrow interceptor jet aircraft. It begins with footage identified on the leader as B Roll, M-29-1 Arrow Original Outs Core. This shows: dark interior scenes of aircraft fuselage being moved slowly inside a hangar; a worker in a white T-shirt stands below; other workers look on; a worker on an orange tractor; groups of workers move it on some kind of large track or dolly; fuselage from another angle; workers moving another large part of the aircraft; various overhead views of the aircraft frame; close-ups of various aircraft components, including parts of the landing gear (lighting levels vary); some nearer shots of worker and aircraft; adding various parts; checking dials on large computer identified by its label as an IBM Central Processing Unit; printout coming out of a printer; female worker appears to be feeding a punch card into the computer; woman goes to check printer; another woman comes along; first woman hands her the printout; worker flipping switches for piston-driven equipment; man watches machines from behind glass; manufacturing parts; man with clipboard looks on; man with clipboard looks at gauges; man in lab coat, wearing a headset, works with a tangle of pipes, cables or wiring; more shots of man looking at gauges; close-up of a gauge; parts being tested, probably for undercarriage; opening flaps for wheels; various apparatus in motion; more scenes from the shop floor; workers move large parts of the fuselage; more shots of workers assembling parts of the fuselage; soft-focus close-ups of some assembly work; various scenes of work being done in the hangar or factory; more shots of the fuselage being moved (some shots still soft-focus but lighting is brighter); longshots of various aircraft components; worker adjusting machinery; groups of workers busy on the shop floor (some of this footage not well lit or under-exposed); worker putting in rivets; workers tightening bolts; engine raised by a hoist; engine sitting on crate, labelled Engine 1, in background; close-up of engine with workers around it; more shots of men working on engine; casing for J75 Turbo Jet engine; man hooks chains to top of engine and casing is hoisted off; hoisting engine out of lower casing; another shot of engine; shots of various types of machinery or parts; making metal parts; and liquid (looks like water) sprays over slab as machine moves over it. The footage shows: men working outside with equipment that looks like a metal box with wires coming out of it; the box sits on a wooden table; a building is in the background; one man taps on gauge which is part of the metal box; the other man has a piece of paper; workers conducting tests; interior factory scenes showing engines up on hoists; man in overalls stands against a wall, facing camera, as camera pans down to his feet; man puts tight-fighting flight jacket on him; puts on harness and helmet with oxygen mask; another man helps him; pilot gets in cockpit of partially-built airplane; overhead shot of pilot in cockpit; pilot gets out; sign on side of cockpit says ejector seats; the person sitting in the seat again; testing controls; overhead view of two people seated in cockpit, touching the controls, which light up (footage is too dark to see details); more workers on the shop floor, including some in hard hats; large metal aircraft part being lowered into position; workers fitting parts into place; shot of overhead hoist in motion; another shot of triangular part; various angles of aircraft parts, from eye level and overhead; some upside down footage; more footage of parts being moved into place; other workers point and discuss another component; and another part being lowered into position (looks like part of a wing). <53mn>
