Sailboats are shown at the starting line of the eighty mile race at Cobourg. They leave in the evening and begin arriving at the finish line in Kingston early the next morning. During the night, the lake is rough; the viewer is shown waves, clouds and sailboats bent over by the wind. At Kingston, the Judges and Timers observe the arrival of the yachts; a bell is rung and a shotgun fired. After mooring, the sailors hang out their belongings to dry and some relax on the dock or the deck of a sailboat. Some men perform repairs on their yachts: a man is seen working on a boat's hull and another is seen high up a mast. The film concludes with a number of shots of sailboats and participants; the final shot shows a flag which reads, "LYRA '27". <6mn 38s>Language:Silent with English intertitlesOriginal number:4183Notes:Detailed holdings information: -
