CS ("15"). [1] Lartigue to Roux, [Montréal], 29 September 1828. The writer is just returned from Québec, where he, the [a]bp. of Québec [Panet] and his coadjutor [Signay] have drafted a petition addressed to the King [George IV], that the Administrator of the province [Kempt] will forward, asking for the protection of the goods and the legal titles of the [Montréal] Seminary. The said petition has already been signed by the members of the Québec Seminary, and will be signed by the priests of the diocese [see the final petition, dated (27) December 1828; see SOCG 552]. [2] Roux to Lartigue, Montréal, 30 September 1828. The writer is grateful to the addressee and is certain that the government will approve. Both items certified and signed by Bourget, secretary.
